HVAC SEO and air conditioning marketing · Installs, servicing and repairs · From $500K revenue
HVAC SEO and Google Ads that are ready for the first heatwave.
Keyword Planner shows 49,500 Australian searches for 'air conditioning repair' in January 2026, against 5,400 the September before. Installs move earlier: 'air conditioning installation' reached 18,100 in October and November. A business that starts its SEO and ads when the heat arrives pays peak prices for what is left. We build the pages, connect your calls and job software to Google Ads, and run installs, servicing and repairs as separate budgets, week to week, against booked jobs.

How we run marketing for air conditioning businesses
Four principles for an air conditioning business.
Principle 01
Installs come before the heat, repairs come with it
The two searches peak at different times. In Keyword Planner's monthly estimates, 'air conditioning installation' ran at 18,100 in October, November and January, then fell to 5,400 from April to June. 'Air conditioning repair' climbed from 9,900 in October to 33,100 in December and 49,500 in January 2026. So install campaigns get their budget in spring, repair budgets are held for the first hot weeks, and the pages for both need to be ranking before either starts.
Principle 02
Installs, servicing and repairs are three campaigns
Each has its own customer, job value and click price. Keyword Planner shows top-of-page bids in Australia (October 2026) of $7 to $27 a click for 'air conditioning installation', $8 to $30 for 'air conditioning service' and $8 to $32 for 'air conditioning repair', with 'ducted air conditioning' at $4 to $17. One blended campaign would set one price for all of them. Separate campaigns, pages and budgets let each be judged on its own cost per booked job.
Principle 03
Winter is for servicing and quoting
Demand does not stop when it cools. Repair searches rose from 9,900 in June to 12,100 in July 2026, and service searches held at 8,100 a month from June to August. The quieter months suit maintenance agreements, following up the install quotes that went cold, collecting reviews and getting new pages written, so the account starts spring ahead rather than catching up.
Principle 04
Licences belong in the advertising
Anyone who handles refrigerant, including to install a split system, needs a refrigerant handling licence from the Australian Refrigeration Council under the Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Regulations 1995, and customers can check one on the council's Look for the Tick site. In NSW, air conditioning and refrigeration is specialist work, so the licensee's name and licence number must appear in advertising, online included. Put your numbers on the site, the ads and your Business Profile, and confirm your state's rules with your regulator.
Deliverables
What we build and run for an air conditioning business.
01
A website with a page each for split system installation, ducted systems, servicing, repairs and commercial HVAC, suburb pages where you work, and your licence details shown. Ready two to three weeks after kickoff, then maintained on a monthly care plan: hosting, updates and small changes.
02
Quote forms that ask what an install quote needs (property type, the rooms to cool or heat, the existing system and when they want it in), plus call tracking on every advertised number.
03
simPRO, ServiceM8, AroFlo, Tradify or Fergus connected to Google Ads and Meta, with accepted quotes and booked jobs, and their values, sent back as offline conversions.
04
A Google Business Profile for an air conditioning business: the right categories, installation, servicing and repairs listed as services, your service areas, and photos of finished installs.
05
Google Ads, Meta, Google Business Profile and SEO managed through the year: install budgets lifted in spring, repair budgets held for heatwaves, and ads scheduled to the hours someone answers.
06
A monthly report of cost per booked install, service and repair by channel, reconciled to your job software.

How we work with air conditioning businesses
Website, tracking and management, quoted before spring.
We quote in writing after the free audit call, for the pieces you need and nothing else. The tracking setup and ongoing management are each a fixed fee for the agreed scope, not a cut of your ad spend, which matters in a business where a heatwave is the reason to spend more. For an outside view first, the two-week diagnostic is read-only and the report is yours.
01 · Website
An HVAC website that books installs
Pages for split systems, ducted, servicing, repairs and commercial work, suburb pages, your licence details, click-to-call and tracked numbers. Built and launched in two to three weeks; hosting, updates and small changes after that sit on a monthly care plan.
02 · Setup
Install, service and repair tracking
Calls and forms tagged by job type, your job software sending accepted quotes and booked jobs to Google Ads, and your Business Profile set up for each service. If your tracking is already sound, management starts straight away.
03 · Ongoing
Ongoing management
Your ads on Google and Meta, your Business Profile and your SEO are run by senior operators each week, with budget moved between installs and repairs as the weather and your crews allow. Every decision is written down with its reasoning.
Where the fee would cost more than your slower months can recover, you will hear that from us before you sign.

Run your numbers
Proof, with the working shown
We'd rather show you the maths than the buzzwords.
“Profit Geeks rebuilt our whole sales engine, and not just the ad accounts. They went after the systems sitting behind them too. Sales are up 140% and we've pushed past $25M. Honestly the bit I didn't see coming was the operation running leaner than it did back when we were half the size.”
“We were quietly bleeding about a thousand dollars a week and had no idea why. They found the leaks, sorted out the measurement and the offer, and now we'll do more than $10K in a single day. Same product. Completely different business.”
“We went from scraping together two installs a week to running four crews and fifteen-plus jobs a week, north of $10M turnover. The clever bit was they tied the scaling to what we could actually deliver, so growth never broke the operation. Booked jobs, not vanity leads.”
“After iOS, our Meta numbers stopped matching the bank, and we'd basically been writing the gap off as “just tracking.” Profit Geeks rebuilt our measurement server-side and reconciled it straight back to the P&L. Turned out about $1.42M of ad spend in year one had been working all along. They're the first team that showed me the maths instead of a dashboard.”
“We didn’t spend a dollar more on ads. What they did was fix how we counted a booked job versus a platform “conversion,” cut the wasted spend, and by week twelve our blended ROAS had more than tripled. Revenue went from $4.8M to $9.1M. Same senior bloke on every call too. No juniors, no relay race.”
Reasonable questions
What you're probably thinking.
01
We've been burned by an agency before.
Most of our intake has. The difference is structural. A senior operator runs your account, not a junior hidden behind a dashboard, and you leave the first call with written findings you own even if we never work together. No relay race, no account manager translating between you and the people doing the work.
02
How do I know it'll actually work for my business?
You don't yet, and neither do we until we've seen your numbers. That's why the first step is a diagnostic, not a contract. We've documented this in DTC and home services (the case studies show the full working) and run the same playbook in professional services. If the maths isn't there for you, we'll tell you on the call.
03
What if there's nothing worth fixing?
Then you've spent thirty minutes and walked away with a second opinion that cost you nothing. We'd rather say no than take on an engagement we can't earn, so we turn away intake that isn't a fit. There's no pitch and no follow-up sales sequence.
04
What does it cost, and what am I signing up for?
A fixed fee for the tracking set-up, then a fixed fee for ongoing management, both quoted in writing after the call. No per-channel markup and no percentage of your ad spend. If your spend is too small for the fee to pay for itself, we will say so on the call. Budgets only climb when booked jobs show the extra spend is paying.
Frequently asked
Eight questions about HVAC SEO and air conditioning marketing.
What SEO services are available for HVAC companies?
Local SEO does most of the work. That means a Google Business Profile with the right categories, services and service areas; a page for each job you want more of, from split system installation to ducted systems and commercial servicing; suburb pages only where you genuinely work; reviews collected after every job; and schema.org structured data that marks the business up as an HVACBusiness. Fast mobile pages and a clean site structure matter too. We also make the business easy for AI answers, such as Google's AI Overviews and ChatGPT, to cite. HVAC SEO from us is judged on booked jobs from search and Maps, not rankings.
How much does HVAC SEO and Google Ads management cost?
Two numbers decide it: what an agency charges and what the work brings in. On the first, Google Ads management in Australia commonly runs at 10 to 20 percent of ad spend, or $1,500 to $3,000 a month as a flat fee for a smaller account, and SEO is mostly sold as a monthly retainer. On the second, track cost per booked install and repair, because that tells you whether any fee is worth paying. Our fee is fixed for the scope we agree, with no percentage of spend, and quoted in writing after the free audit call.
How much a Google Ads agency costs in AustraliaIs $10 a day enough for Google Ads?
In January, not even close. A $10 cap means about $300 for the month, and Keyword Planner puts top-of-page bids for 'air conditioning repair' at $8 to $32 a click in Australia (October 2026), which is roughly nine to 37 clicks. In a month with 49,500 repair searches, a daily cap that small can be gone within the first hours of the day. A small budget does more in spring, aimed at installs in your nearest suburbs, when there is time to follow up every quote.
When should an air conditioning business advertise?
All year, with the weight shifting. Installation searches were already at 14,800 in September 2025 and reached 18,100 in October, November and January, so lift install budgets from early spring. Hold repair budget for December and January, when repair searches peak. Use the cooler months for servicing, maintenance agreements and quote follow-ups. Your own job history by month is the best guide for your area, and Keyword Planner's monthly trend for your main searches is a useful second opinion.
Should air conditioning installs and repairs be separate campaigns?
Yes. They peak at different times, carry different bids and lead to jobs of different value. An install customer compares quotes and often books after a site visit; a repair customer usually wants someone this week. Run them as separate campaigns with their own budgets and landing pages, count accepted quotes for installs and booked jobs for repairs, and you can move money between them as the season turns.
Do we need to show our ARC licence in our marketing?
You need to hold the right licence to handle refrigerant, and showing it is good practice: customers can check an ARC licence number on the council's Look for the Tick site. Whether your licence details must appear in advertising depends on your state. In NSW, for example, air conditioning and refrigeration is specialist work, and advertising has to show the licensee's name and licence number, online included. This is general information, so confirm the rules for your state with your regulator and the ARC, and we will build the details into your site and ads.
Which air conditioning searches are worth paying for?
In Keyword Planner's figures for Australia (October 2026), the main searches run like this: air conditioning repair 18,100 at $8 to $32 a click, air conditioning service 14,800 at $8 to $30, air conditioning installation 12,100 at $7 to $27, ducted air conditioning 6,600 at $4 to $17, air conditioning near me 3,600 at $6 to $25, and split system installation 1,600 at $7 to $25. Pay for the ones that match jobs you want, in suburbs you cover, at hours you answer, and let the value of each job, not the going rate, decide what you bid.
Do you build air conditioning websites?
Yes. An air conditioning site from us has a page for each system and service you sell, from split systems to ducted and commercial HVAC, suburb pages where you work, your licence details, click-to-call and quote forms that collect what an install quote needs. Tracking is live from launch. We quote after a free call, build in two to three weeks, and keep it current on a monthly care plan.

What you actually buy
We connect the tracking, then we run the account. It starts with a free call.
Which of these sounds like your week?
- Meta says one number, Google says another, the CRM says a third, and the bank says something else again.
- The leads come in and most of them are rubbish.
- Traffic is fine. Not enough of them buy.
- You cannot spend more without losing margin.
- Something is wrong and you cannot say what.
All five come back to the same gap: nobody can say which job came from which dollar. We close that first, then the same senior operators run the spend against booked jobs. The free call is where we work out what your business needs first.

Run your own numbers
Six calculators and an attribution reference. Work out your break-even ROAS, your CAC payback, and whether the spend is structurally profitable, before you talk to anyone. The calculators need no signup.
01 · Free · 30 minutes
The profit audit call
A senior operator looks at your real spend, revenue and attribution gap on a call. You leave with a written fix list you keep, whether or not we ever work together. No deck, no follow-up sales sequence. We reply within one business day with three times to choose from.
02 · Optional · Two weeks
The two-week diagnostic
Read-only. We change nothing in your accounts. Every tag, event and consent rule mapped and written up: 20 to 35 pages, every issue rated P0 to P3 with an engineering-day estimate, and a 90-minute walk-through on day twelve. Yours to hand to us, your own team, or your existing agency. About a third of clients run this first, then decide.
03 · The engagement · Ongoing
The tracking set-up, then we run it
First the phones, the forms and your job software get connected to Google Ads and Meta, so every booked job traces back to the search, ad or page that produced it. From there the same senior operators run Google Ads, Meta, your Google Business Profile and SEO week to week, with budgets decided against booked jobs and the reasoning written down. The scope and timing of the set-up are in the written proposal.
What it costs
Four things set the number
- The size of your stack
- How many ad platforms are live
- The state of your CRM integration
- How many service lines and locations you run
Two things do not
- Your industry
- How much you spend on ads
Revenue only matters because a bigger business is usually a bigger scope. We do not price off a percentage of it. We charge for the work, not for what you look like you can afford.
How it is billedThe set-up is fixed scope. Ongoing management is a fixed fee for the agreed scope. Both are quoted in one written proposal after the call. No hourly billing and no percentage of ad spend.
Included at no extra costThe decision log and the tracking set-up, yours to keep whether we run the account or you take it back in-house.
What happens after you book
Three steps. No mystery.
Step 01 · Within 1 business day
30-minute audit call
A senior operator on the call. We look at your real numbers, spend, revenue, attribution gap, and tell you on the call whether the rebuild is worth doing for you and where it would start. No pitch deck.
Step 02 · Within 1 week
Written proposal
Fixed scope, fixed number, written up. The proposal names deliverables, timeline, the people involved, and the price. No hourly billing, no retainer drift.
Step 03 · Within 2 weeks
Engagement starts
Senior operators from day one. The measurement rebuild starts, we take over day-to-day buying on the channels we can measure, and the first working session lands. Inside two weeks of the call.
Next step
Booked installs before summer. Repairs answered when it hits.
If every summer swamps you and every winter goes quiet, a free 30-minute profit audit is the place to start. Bring a year of booked jobs by month, split into installs, servicing and repairs if you can, and your ad spend over the same months. We will write down how we would budget the year and what we would fix first.
