Electrician marketing · Installs, emergencies and commercial work · Australia
Electrician SEO and Google Ads that book the bigger jobs, not just the call-outs.
Keyword Planner shows 40,500 searches a month for 'electrician near me' in Australia (October 2026). That search brings every kind of job, from a tripped safety switch to a full rewire. The searches that grow an electrical business name the work: switchboard upgrades, EV chargers, solar batteries, commercial jobs. We build the pages that win those jobs, wire your calls and job software into Google Ads, and manage the ads, the Google Business Profile and the SEO every week against what actually books.

How we run marketing for electricians
Four principles for electrical contractors.
Principle 01
Sell the job, not the trade
'Electrician near me' brings everything from a light fitting to a rewire. The searches that name a job are where the margin sits: Keyword Planner shows 1,000 searches a month for 'switchboard upgrade', 2,400 for 'solar battery installation' and 1,600 for 'commercial electrician' in Australia (October 2026). Every one of those deserves a page, an ad group and a budget of its own, so a switchboard upgrade is not fighting a light fitting for the same dollar.
Principle 02
Installs run on a longer clock
An EV charger or a battery is researched, quoted, compared and often booked after a site visit. An emergency is booked in one call. Install campaigns are judged on quote requests and site visits, and the finished job is sent back to Google later through your job software, which works because Google Ads can import a conversion up to 90 days after the click that started it.
Principle 03
Batteries move with policy
Home battery installs can qualify for a federal discount under the Cheaper Home Batteries Program, which began on 1 July 2025. When the program's settings change, so do the questions customers ask and how urgently they ask them. Your battery page should say plainly what you install and which accreditations your installers hold, be checked against the current rules on energy.gov.au, and be updated whenever the program is.
Principle 04
Residential and commercial are separate plans
A homeowner with a dead power point and a property manager looking after a portfolio of buildings buy differently. Commercial work gets its own pages, its own campaigns and its own measure of success, a quote request or a tender invitation rather than a call-out. Keyword Planner shows commercial electrician searches at $7 to $30 a click in Australia (October 2026), so the arithmetic is different too.
Deliverables
The work, from the website to weekly management.
01
A website where every job you want more of has its own page (switchboard upgrades, EV charger installation, solar batteries, ceiling fans, emergency work and commercial services), suburb pages for the areas you cover, and your licence number shown where your state requires it. Live two to three weeks after kickoff; after that, a monthly care plan handles hosting, updates and small changes.
02
Quote forms that ask what an install quote needs (property type, what is being installed, the age of the switchboard), so you can scope the job before you drive out.
03
Call tracking, plus your job software (ServiceM8, Tradify, simPRO, AroFlo, Fergus or Jobber) connected to Google Ads, with quote requests, site visits and booked jobs sent back as offline conversions.
04
A Google Business Profile built out for an electrical business: categories, every service you offer, service areas, and photos of finished work, installs included.
05
Install, emergency and commercial campaigns managed as three budgets across Google Ads, Meta, Google Business Profile and SEO, reviewed every week against cost per booked job.
06
A monthly report by job type: what each switchboard, EV charger or battery job cost to win, and which channel won it.
Who this is for
- Electrical contractor in Australia with $500K or more in annual revenue
- At least $1,500 a month going into Google Ads, Meta or the lead marketplaces
- Running jobs through ServiceM8, Tradify, simPRO, AroFlo, Fergus, Jobber or similar
- Want more install or commercial work, not just more call-outs
Who it isn't
- Want enquiries for work you are not licensed or accredited to do
- Judge marketing on the cheapest lead from 'electrician near me', whatever the job is worth
- Already booked out for weeks, with no room to take more work
- Want SEO results promised by a date
How we work with electricians
Website, tracking, management. Buy the piece you need.
You get a written quote for whichever pieces you need after the free audit call. Setup and management are priced as fixed fees for an agreed scope, not as a percentage of what you spend on ads. If you would rather see what is broken before deciding, the two-week diagnostic changes nothing in your accounts and the report is yours.
01 · Website
An electrical website that sells installs
Job pages for switchboards, EV chargers, batteries and commercial work, suburb pages, click-to-call, tracked numbers and quote forms. Live two to three weeks after kickoff. From then on, hosting, updates and small changes sit under a monthly care plan.
02 · Setup
The tracking setup
Calls tracked, your job software connected, quote requests and booked jobs uploaded to Google Ads, and your Google Business Profile built out. If what you have already works, we go straight to management.
03 · Ongoing
Ongoing management
Google Ads, Meta, Google Business Profile and SEO run week to week by senior operators against cost per booked job. Each decision is logged with its reasoning, and the playbook stays with you.
If the fee would cost more than it could recover at your level of ad spend, you will hear that on the call.

Proof, with the working shown
We'd rather show you the maths than the buzzwords.
“Profit Geeks rebuilt our whole sales engine, and not just the ad accounts. They went after the systems sitting behind them too. Sales are up 140% and we've pushed past $25M. Honestly the bit I didn't see coming was the operation running leaner than it did back when we were half the size.”
“We were quietly bleeding about a thousand dollars a week and had no idea why. They found the leaks, sorted out the measurement and the offer, and now we'll do more than $10K in a single day. Same product. Completely different business.”
“We went from scraping together two installs a week to running four crews and fifteen-plus jobs a week, north of $10M turnover. The clever bit was they tied the scaling to what we could actually deliver, so growth never broke the operation. Booked jobs, not vanity leads.”
“After iOS, our Meta numbers stopped matching the bank, and we'd basically been writing the gap off as “just tracking.” Profit Geeks rebuilt our measurement server-side and reconciled it straight back to the P&L. Turned out about $1.42M of ad spend in year one had been working all along. They're the first team that showed me the maths instead of a dashboard.”
“We didn’t spend a dollar more on ads. What they did was fix how we counted a booked job versus a platform “conversion,” cut the wasted spend, and by week twelve our blended ROAS had more than tripled. Revenue went from $4.8M to $9.1M. Same senior bloke on every call too. No juniors, no relay race.”
Reasonable questions
What you're probably thinking.
01
We've been burned by an agency before.
Most of our intake has. The difference is structural. A senior operator runs your account, not a junior hidden behind a dashboard, and you leave the first call with written findings you own even if we never work together. No relay race, no account manager translating between you and the people doing the work.
02
How do I know it'll actually work for my business?
You don't yet, and neither do we until we've seen your numbers. That's why the first step is a diagnostic, not a contract. We've documented this in DTC and home services (the case studies show the full working) and run the same playbook in professional services. If the maths isn't there for you, we'll tell you on the call.
03
What if there's nothing worth fixing?
Then you've spent thirty minutes and walked away with a second opinion that cost you nothing. We'd rather say no than take on an engagement we can't earn, so we turn away intake that isn't a fit. There's no pitch and no follow-up sales sequence.
04
What does it cost, and what am I signing up for?
A fixed fee for the tracking set-up, then a fixed fee for ongoing management, both quoted in writing after the call. No per-channel markup and no percentage of your ad spend. If your spend is too small for the fee to pay for itself, we will say so on the call. Budgets only climb when booked jobs show the extra spend is paying.
Frequently asked
Eight questions about electrician marketing.
What are some good SEO keywords for electricians?
Job names first, then places. Keyword Planner shows the following monthly searches in Australia (October 2026), with top-of-page bids: electrician near me 40,500 at $9 to $40 a click, EV charger installation 2,900 at $5 to $24, emergency electrician 2,400 at $7 to $35, solar battery installation 2,400 at $8 to $33, ceiling fan installation 1,900 at $5 to $21, commercial electrician 1,600 at $7 to $30, and switchboard upgrade 1,000 at $7 to $27. Give each job you want more of its own page, name the suburbs you cover where it is true, and let your Google Business Profile carry 'near me', because Google says local results are mainly based on relevance, distance and how prominent the business is.
How much does SEO typically cost in Australia?
There is no honest single figure, because it depends on how much work your site needs and how crowded your local market is. Agencies usually sell it as a monthly retainer or a one-off project. For an electrical contractor, the better question is what a booked job from search and Maps costs you, which means tracking calls and forms from organic search through to the job. Our price is fixed for the scope we agree, and it is never a percentage of anything, with SEO run alongside your Google Ads and Google Business Profile, quoted in writing after the free audit call.
How much a Google Ads agency costs in AustraliaWhat are some effective marketing ideas for electricians?
Start with the ones that cost time rather than money. Photograph every switchboard, charger and battery you install and add the photos to your Google Business Profile. Ask every customer for a review before you pack up. Give your best-paid job its own page that answers the questions customers ask before booking it. Follow up every quote that has gone quiet, because install customers often take their time comparing. Then put electrician advertising on Google behind those job pages and judge it on cost per booked job.
How do I market myself as an electrician?
As a licensed specialist people can check. Show your licence details wherever you advertise, the way your state requires: in NSW, electrical work is specialist work, and a licensee's name and licence number must appear in all advertising, internet advertising included. Rules differ in other states, so check yours with your state regulator. Then make the proof easy to find: reviews on your Google Business Profile, photos of real work, and a clear page for the job you most want. Customers who can see who you are and what you have done are easier to book.
Is $10 a day enough for Google Ads?
Not for most electrical work. Ten dollars a day comes to roughly $300 a month. Keyword Planner shows $7 to $35 a click at the top of the page for 'emergency electrician' in Australia (October 2026), so $300 covers between eight and 42 clicks a month, and only some of those will ring. That is too little for Google's bidding to learn from, and too little for you to tell a good month from a lucky one. If that is the budget, put it on one install type in your closest suburbs, track every call, and spend your own time on reviews and your Google Business Profile, which cost nothing to run.
How do you measure an install that books weeks after the first enquiry?
By recording each stage in your job software and sending it back to Google as it happens. The quote request or site visit goes back first, so the bidding has something to learn from within days. The booked job follows when it lands, carrying its value, and Google will take an imported conversion for up to 90 days after the click. The monthly report then shows cost per booked install by job type, which is the number that tells you whether EV chargers or batteries deserve more of the budget.
Do Facebook and Instagram ads work for electricians?
For emergencies, rarely: nobody scrolls Instagram looking for someone to fix a power fault. For installs people think about first, like batteries and EV chargers, Meta can earn its place, particularly when it shows your finished installs to people in your area who have already visited your battery or charger page. Meta's learning phase needs about 50 optimisation events per ad set per week, so optimise toward quote requests rather than completed installs, and compare its cost per booked job with Google's.
Do you build electrician websites?
Yes. Our electrician website design is built around the jobs you want: a page each for switchboards, EV chargers, batteries, commercial work and emergencies, quote forms that collect what you need to scope an install, and call tracking from the first day. The quote comes after a free call, the site goes live two to three weeks after kickoff, and the monthly care plan takes over from there: hosting, updates and small changes.

What you actually buy
We connect the tracking, then we run the account. It starts with a free call.
Which of these sounds like your week?
- Meta says one number, Google says another, the CRM says a third, and the bank says something else again.
- The leads come in and most of them are rubbish.
- Traffic is fine. Not enough of them buy.
- You cannot spend more without losing margin.
- Something is wrong and you cannot say what.
All five come back to the same gap: nobody can say which job came from which dollar. We close that first, then the same senior operators run the spend against booked jobs. The free call is where we work out what your business needs first.

Run your own numbers
Six calculators and an attribution reference. Work out your break-even ROAS, your CAC payback, and whether the spend is structurally profitable, before you talk to anyone. The calculators need no signup.
01 · Free · 30 minutes
The profit audit call
A senior operator looks at your real spend, revenue and attribution gap on a call. You leave with a written fix list you keep, whether or not we ever work together. No deck, no follow-up sales sequence. We reply within one business day with three times to choose from.
02 · Optional · Two weeks
The two-week diagnostic
Read-only. We change nothing in your accounts. Every tag, event and consent rule mapped and written up: 20 to 35 pages, every issue rated P0 to P3 with an engineering-day estimate, and a 90-minute walk-through on day twelve. Yours to hand to us, your own team, or your existing agency. About a third of clients run this first, then decide.
03 · The engagement · Ongoing
The tracking set-up, then we run it
First the phones, the forms and your job software get connected to Google Ads and Meta, so every booked job traces back to the search, ad or page that produced it. From there the same senior operators run Google Ads, Meta, your Google Business Profile and SEO week to week, with budgets decided against booked jobs and the reasoning written down. The scope and timing of the set-up are in the written proposal.
What it costs
Four things set the number
- The size of your stack
- How many ad platforms are live
- The state of your CRM integration
- How many service lines and locations you run
Two things do not
- Your industry
- How much you spend on ads
Revenue only matters because a bigger business is usually a bigger scope. We do not price off a percentage of it. We charge for the work, not for what you look like you can afford.
How it is billedThe set-up is fixed scope. Ongoing management is a fixed fee for the agreed scope. Both are quoted in one written proposal after the call. No hourly billing and no percentage of ad spend.
Included at no extra costThe decision log and the tracking set-up, yours to keep whether we run the account or you take it back in-house.
What happens after you book
Three steps. No mystery.
Step 01 · Within 1 business day
30-minute audit call
A senior operator on the call. We look at your real numbers, spend, revenue, attribution gap, and tell you on the call whether the rebuild is worth doing for you and where it would start. No pitch deck.
Step 02 · Within 1 week
Written proposal
Fixed scope, fixed number, written up. The proposal names deliverables, timeline, the people involved, and the price. No hourly billing, no retainer drift.
Step 03 · Within 2 weeks
Engagement starts
Senior operators from day one. The measurement rebuild starts, we take over day-to-day buying on the channels we can measure, and the first working session lands. Inside two weeks of the call.
Next step
More installs and commercial work. Fewer call-outs that barely cover the drive.
If 'electrician near me' keeps the phone busy but the bigger jobs go to someone else, the free 30-minute profit audit is the place to start. Come with your ad spend, the jobs your software shows for the same period, and the install work you are after. You get it in writing: where those jobs are being lost, and what we would change first.
