Tradie websites · Web design for trade businesses · Australia

Tradie websites built to make the phone ring, and to show which page did it.

A trade website has one job: turn the person searching for your service into a call or a quote request you can book. We build sites around the jobs you want more of and the suburbs you actually work in, with click-to-call, call tracking and short quote forms, connected to your job software from launch day so you can see which pages and ads produce booked work. Quoted after a free call. Built in two to three weeks.

How we build for trades

Four things a trade website has to get right.

  1. Principle 01

A page for each job you want more of

One page per service, written for the job the customer actually has: a hot water replacement, a switchboard upgrade, a roof restoration, a granny flat. A single page listing everything you do ranks for nothing in particular and gives your ads nowhere specific to land. Start with the work that pays best, not the work you happen to get most of.

  2. Principle 02

Suburb pages only where you actually work

Local pages for the suburbs and towns you service, each with something true to say: the jobs you do there, how quickly you can get there, photos from real jobs nearby. Copies of one page with the suburb name swapped out are the pattern search engines are most likely to ignore, so we write fewer, better ones.

  3. Principle 03

Built for a phone, because the customer is on one

Plenty of trade enquiries come from a phone, often from someone standing next to the problem. Click-to-call sits at the top of every page, every number is tracked, and quote forms are short enough to finish with one thumb: name, number, suburb and the job. Pages are built to load fast on mobile, because Google uses the mobile version of a site to index and rank it.

  4. Principle 04

    Measured from launch day

Every call and form is tied to the search, ad or listing that produced it, and to your job software, so booked jobs flow back to Google Ads as offline conversions. You do not have to guess whether the site works. From the first month of jobs, you can see which pages and ads are producing work.

Deliverables

What goes into a tradie website from us.

  • 01

Service pages for the jobs you want more of, and suburb or region pages for the areas you actually cover, written for the way customers search.

  • 02

Click-to-call on every page, call tracking on every number, and short quote forms that work properly on a phone.

  • 03

Enquiries measured from launch day: calls and forms connected to the same tracking as your job software (ServiceM8, Tradify, simPRO, AroFlo, Fergus, Jobber and others), with booked jobs sent to Google Ads as offline conversions.

  • 04

Your Google Business Profile aligned with the site: the same business name, phone number, services and service areas, so Google and your customers see one consistent business.

  • 05

LocalBusiness and service structured data, using the schema.org type for your trade (Plumber, Electrician, RoofingContractor, GeneralContractor and others), so search engines and AI answers can read who you are, what you do and where.

  • 06

Fast, mobile-first pages, with your licence details shown where your state requires them. After launch, a monthly care plan covers hosting, updates and small changes.

Who this is for

  • Trade or home services business that wins most of its work from calls and quote requests
  • Want a site that Google Ads, your Google Business Profile and SEO can send people to, and that shows what each visit turned into
  • Running job-management software, or about to (ServiceM8, Tradify, simPRO, AroFlo, Fergus, Jobber or similar)
  • Want it live two to three weeks from kickoff, not dragging on for months

Who it isn't

  • Want a guaranteed first-page ranking. Nobody can honestly promise one.
  • Need a site live in a few days (ours take two to three weeks)
  • Would rather not know which pages, ads or suburbs bring in the work

How we work with trades

Quoted after a free call. No price on the site, and here is why.

A tradie website is priced by what goes into it: how many services and suburbs need their own pages, whether your words and photos already exist, what needs to connect to your job software and call tracking, and whether an old site has to move without losing the rankings it has. We quote it in writing after a free call, once we know which of those apply.

Step 01 · Free · 30 minutes

The call

We look at your current site, your Google Business Profile, the jobs you want more of and the suburbs you cover. You leave with written findings, whether or not we build anything.

Step 02 · Two to three weeks

The build

Service and suburb pages, click-to-call, call tracking, quote forms and structured data, on the platform that suits your business, with tracking live from launch day.

Step 03 · Monthly

The care plan

After launch, a monthly care plan covers hosting, updates and small changes, so the site stays current without you chasing a developer.

Want someone to run Google Ads, Google Business Profile and SEO against the new site? That is ongoing management, quoted separately, and every site we build is ready for it.

Proof, with the working shown

We'd rather show you the maths than the buzzwords.

“Profit Geeks rebuilt our whole sales engine, and not just the ad accounts. They went after the systems sitting behind them too. Sales are up 140% and we've pushed past $25M. Honestly the bit I didn't see coming was the operation running leaner than it did back when we were half the size.”

“We were quietly bleeding about a thousand dollars a week and had no idea why. They found the leaks, sorted out the measurement and the offer, and now we'll do more than $10K in a single day. Same product. Completely different business.”
Founder, oral care brand−$1K/week → $10K+/day
“We went from scraping together two installs a week to running four crews and fifteen-plus jobs a week, north of $10M turnover. The clever bit was they tied the scaling to what we could actually deliver, so growth never broke the operation. Booked jobs, not vanity leads.”

“After iOS, our Meta numbers stopped matching the bank, and we'd basically been writing the gap off as “just tracking.” Profit Geeks rebuilt our measurement server-side and reconciled it straight back to the P&L. Turned out about $1.42M of ad spend in year one had been working all along. They're the first team that showed me the maths instead of a dashboard.”

“We didn’t spend a dollar more on ads. What they did was fix how we counted a booked job versus a platform “conversion,” cut the wasted spend, and by week twelve our blended ROAS had more than tripled. Revenue went from $4.8M to $9.1M. Same senior bloke on every call too. No juniors, no relay race.”

Frequently asked

Seven questions about tradie websites.

How much does a tradie website cost?

It depends on what goes into it, which is why we quote after a free call rather than publish a price. The things that move the quote: how many services and suburbs need their own pages, whether the words and photos already exist, what has to connect to your job software and call tracking, and whether an existing site has to be moved without losing the rankings it already has. The care plan after launch is a separate monthly cost, and you see both in writing before anything starts.

How long does it take to build a tradie website?

Two to three weeks from kickoff to launch is typical. What slows a build down is usually waiting on content: photos of real jobs, the list of suburbs you want to cover, your licence details and the reviews you want to feature. Have those ready at kickoff and there is very little to wait on.

What does the care plan cover?

Hosting, updates and small changes, billed monthly from launch. Small changes means the things you would otherwise have to chase a developer for, such as new contact details, a fresh photo or a change to your service areas. Anything bigger is scoped with you before it starts.

Will a new website rank on Google?

Not by itself, and be wary of anyone who promises it will. A well-built site gives SEO a foundation: a page for each service and area, fast mobile pages, structured data, a Google Business Profile that matches, and redirects from any old pages so the rankings you already have are not thrown away. Rankings come from what happens after launch: reviews, links from local and trade sources, and pages improved against what people actually search. That is ongoing SEO, which is separate from the build and part of our ongoing management.

How ongoing tradie SEO works

Can you connect the website to ServiceM8 or Tradify?

Yes. Quote forms and tracked calls can feed ServiceM8, Tradify, simPRO, AroFlo, Fergus, Jobber and similar systems, so an enquiry lands where your office already works. More importantly, the outcome can flow back: when an enquiry from the site becomes a booked job, that is sent to Google Ads as an offline conversion, so your ads learn from booked work instead of form fills. Google accepts those uploads up to 90 days after the click. The exact connection depends on your system, and we confirm it on the call.

Do I need a website if I am on hipages?

If hipages keeps you busy, it can carry the business for a while. But your hipages listing lives inside a marketplace where other tradies can quote the same job, and you pay to accept each lead. Your own site is where Google Ads, your Google Business Profile and SEO send people, where an enquiry comes to you alone, and where you can see what each job cost to win. The sensible setup is usually both, compared on cost per booked job.

Does my licence number need to be on my website?

In some states, yes. In NSW, a licensed contractor's name and licence number have to appear in advertising for residential building work and specialist work such as plumbing and electrical, and that includes internet advertising. In Queensland, the QBCC requires licensees to give the name they are licensed under, state that they are licensed under the QBCC Act and show their licence number in advertising, websites and social media pages included. Other states and trades have their own rules, so confirm yours with your regulator. Either way, we build the details into the site, and customers like being able to check.

Next step

Your website should be your best quoting tool, not a business card.

If your current site looks fine but you cannot say how many jobs it booked last month, start with a free 30-minute call. Bring the address of your current site, the services you want more of and the suburbs you cover. We will tell you in writing what a new site would include, how long it would take and what it would cost.
