Roofer marketing · Repairs, restorations and replacements · Australia
Roofer SEO and Google Ads ready for the next storm.
Roofing demand follows the weather. After heavy rain, leak and repair calls arrive at once; in a dry spell, restorations and replacements carry the business. Keyword Planner shows 'roof repairs' at 5,400 searches a month and 'roof leak repair' at 3,600 in Australia (October 2026). We build separate pages and budgets for repairs, restorations and replacements, link every call and your job software to Google Ads, and manage the account week by week against booked jobs.

How we run marketing for roofers
Four principles for a business that runs on the weather.
Principle 01
Budget for the weather, not the calendar
Leak and repair searches climb when it rains and fall away when it dries out. A flat monthly budget either runs out in the first wet week or sits unspent in a dry one. Budgets are set with room to move: raised when the weather turns, and pulled back on leak terms when your crews are booked out, so you are not paying for calls you cannot take.
Principle 02
Repairs, restorations and replacements are three different sales
A leak repair is urgent and booked on the phone. A restoration is planned, quoted on site and often compared against other quotes. A replacement is a bigger decision again, with fewer searches: Keyword Planner shows 880 a month for 'roof replacement' in Australia, at $8 to $35 a click (October 2026). Give each one its own page and ad group, and judge each on its own result, because one blended cost per lead hides which of the three is paying.
Principle 03
Show the roof
Before and after photos of real roofs, with the suburb and the material, do more selling than any claim. They fill your Google Business Profile, give each service page something specific to say, and answer the question every homeowner has: what will mine look like when you are done.
Principle 04
Qualify the job before the ladder goes up
Every roofing quote costs a site visit. Forms that ask for the suburb, the roof type and the problem, and calls tied to the job type they came from, mean fewer climbs for work you will not win, and Google learns which enquiries become booked jobs.
Deliverables
What a roofing company gets, wet season and dry.
01
A roofing website with separate pages for roof repairs, leak repairs, restorations, replacements, gutters and metal roofing, suburb pages where you actually work, and before and after galleries. Kickoff to launch in two to three weeks, then a monthly care plan that keeps it hosted and updated, small changes included.
02
Call tracking on every advertised number, and quote forms that capture roof type, suburb and the problem, so each enquiry is tied to its job type from the start.
03
ServiceM8, Tradify, AroFlo, simPRO, Fergus or whatever you quote in, connected to Google Ads, with accepted quotes and booked jobs sent back as offline conversions.
04
A Google Business Profile built for a roofing company: services, service areas, opening hours you actually keep, and a steady supply of before and after photos.
05
SEO, Google Ads, Meta and your Google Business Profile managed week to week, with repair budgets moved up and down with the weather and your crews' capacity, and restorations and replacements run as campaigns of their own.
06
Monthly reporting of cost per booked job for repairs, restorations and replacements, by channel, reconciled to the jobs in your software.

How we work with roofers
Website, tracking and management, priced before you commit.
After the free audit call you get a written quote for the pieces you need. Tracking and management are each a fixed price for the scope we agree, not a share of your ad spend, so lifting the budget in a wet month does not lift our fee. If you would like the current setup checked first without anything being changed, that is the two-week diagnostic.
01 · Website
A roofing website that shows the work
Pages for repairs, leaks, restorations and replacements, suburb pages, before and after galleries, click-to-call and tracked numbers. Kickoff to launch in two to three weeks; hosting, updates and small changes after that come under a monthly care plan.
02 · Setup
Tracking by job type
Calls and forms tagged by job type, your job software feeding booked jobs back to Google Ads, and the Google Business Profile sorted out. If your tracking already works, management starts straight away.
03 · Ongoing
Ongoing management
Senior operators handle the ads on Google and Meta, your Google Business Profile and SEO, moving repair budgets each week to match the weather and the crews you have free. Every change is written down with its reason.
Spending too little for our fee to make sense? We would rather tell you on the call than take the job.

Proof, with the working shown
We'd rather show you the maths than the buzzwords.
“Profit Geeks rebuilt our whole sales engine, and not just the ad accounts. They went after the systems sitting behind them too. Sales are up 140% and we've pushed past $25M. Honestly the bit I didn't see coming was the operation running leaner than it did back when we were half the size.”
“We were quietly bleeding about a thousand dollars a week and had no idea why. They found the leaks, sorted out the measurement and the offer, and now we'll do more than $10K in a single day. Same product. Completely different business.”
“We went from scraping together two installs a week to running four crews and fifteen-plus jobs a week, north of $10M turnover. The clever bit was they tied the scaling to what we could actually deliver, so growth never broke the operation. Booked jobs, not vanity leads.”
“After iOS, our Meta numbers stopped matching the bank, and we'd basically been writing the gap off as “just tracking.” Profit Geeks rebuilt our measurement server-side and reconciled it straight back to the P&L. Turned out about $1.42M of ad spend in year one had been working all along. They're the first team that showed me the maths instead of a dashboard.”
“We didn’t spend a dollar more on ads. What they did was fix how we counted a booked job versus a platform “conversion,” cut the wasted spend, and by week twelve our blended ROAS had more than tripled. Revenue went from $4.8M to $9.1M. Same senior bloke on every call too. No juniors, no relay race.”
Reasonable questions
What you're probably thinking.
01
We've been burned by an agency before.
Most of our intake has. The difference is structural. A senior operator runs your account, not a junior hidden behind a dashboard, and you leave the first call with written findings you own even if we never work together. No relay race, no account manager translating between you and the people doing the work.
02
How do I know it'll actually work for my business?
You don't yet, and neither do we until we've seen your numbers. That's why the first step is a diagnostic, not a contract. We've documented this in DTC and home services (the case studies show the full working) and run the same playbook in professional services. If the maths isn't there for you, we'll tell you on the call.
03
What if there's nothing worth fixing?
Then you've spent thirty minutes and walked away with a second opinion that cost you nothing. We'd rather say no than take on an engagement we can't earn, so we turn away intake that isn't a fit. There's no pitch and no follow-up sales sequence.
04
What does it cost, and what am I signing up for?
A fixed fee for the tracking set-up, then a fixed fee for ongoing management, both quoted in writing after the call. No per-channel markup and no percentage of your ad spend. If your spend is too small for the fee to pay for itself, we will say so on the call. Budgets only climb when booked jobs show the extra spend is paying.
Frequently asked
Eight questions roofers ask about marketing.
How do you advertise as a roofer?
In the places homeowners look when the roof becomes a problem, and in the places they look while they plan. For repairs and leaks, that is Google search and Maps, so you need search ads on repair terms and a Google Business Profile full of real job photos and reviews. For restorations and replacements, it is your own website, with a page and a gallery for each, plus Meta to show finished roofs to homeowners nearby. A sign on every job you are working on still earns its place. Where your roofing work needs a licence, the number belongs on your ads and your site: in NSW and Queensland, licensed contractors must show it in their advertising, and both count websites. Your regulator can confirm the rule in your state. Whatever you run, measure it by cost per booked job for each job type.
Does SEO work for roofing companies?
Yes, when it is local and specific. SEO for roofing companies comes down to a few things done properly: a Google Business Profile whose categories, services and service areas match what you really do, a page per job type, suburb pages where you genuinely work, before and after galleries, reviews, and schema.org structured data that marks you up as a RoofingContractor. Keyword Planner shows 'roofer near me' at 5,400 searches a month, and 'gutter replacement' and 'metal roofing' at 1,900 each, in Australia (October 2026). Leak and repair pages need to be live before the wet season, because SEO cannot be switched on the week a storm hits.
Should roofers buy leads?
Bought roofer leads can fill a quiet month, but you are renting someone else's demand. Before you buy, ask whether each lead goes to you alone or to several roofers, and whether you pay for leads outside your area or for the wrong job. Then put the leads on the same scorecard as everything else: tag them in your job software and work out cost per booked job. If the numbers hold up, keep buying. Either way, build a source you own alongside them, through Google, your Google Business Profile and your website.
Is $10 a day enough for Google Ads?
Not for roofing, and least of all when it rains. Ten dollars a day is roughly $300 over a month. Keyword Planner shows top-of-page bids for 'roof repairs' running from $9 to $42 a click in Australia (October 2026), so that money covers somewhere around seven to 33 clicks. In a storm week, a daily budget that small can be gone by mid-morning, just as the calls you want start coming. If that is all you have, put it on restorations, where each job is worth more, in the suburbs nearest your yard, and keep your Google Business Profile busy with photos and reviews.
When should a roofing company spend more on ads?
When the weather turns and you have crews free to take the work. Keep leak and repair budgets flexible, so they can rise when heavy rain is forecast and drop when you are booked out. Restoration and replacement campaigns can run more steadily, because those decisions are planned. Check your own job history month by month against your ad spend: the pattern in your area tells you more than any national figure, and Keyword Planner's monthly trend for your main searches is a useful second opinion.
How do I get more roof restoration jobs?
Treat restoration as a considered purchase, not an emergency. Give it its own page that explains the process, the materials and what is included, with before and after photos from your area. Keyword Planner shows 3,600 searches a month for 'roof restoration' in Australia at $9 to $33 a click (October 2026), enough to justify its own campaign and budget. Chase every restoration quote that has not come back, and go back to past repair customers whose roofs you have already been on. Then measure cost per booked restoration separately from repairs.
Do you build roofing websites?
Yes. A roofing site from us has a page each for repairs, leaks, restorations, replacements and gutters, suburb pages where you work, before and after galleries, click-to-call, and quote forms that capture the roof type and the problem. Calls and forms are tracked from launch. You get a quote after a free call; kickoff to launch takes two to three weeks, and a monthly care plan looks after hosting, updates and small changes.
How we build tradie websitesHow much does roofer SEO and marketing cost?
Google Ads management from an Australian agency usually costs either a slice of your spend, commonly 10 to 20 percent, or a flat monthly retainer, often $1,500 to $3,000 for smaller accounts. SEO tends to be sold as a retainer too, priced by how much the site needs and how many roofers you are up against. We charge one fixed price for an agreed scope instead, never a cut of your spend: tracking first, unless yours already works, then the weekly running of ads, Google Business Profile and SEO, all quoted together in writing after the free audit call.
How much a Google Ads agency costs in AustraliaWhat you actually buy
We connect the tracking, then we run the account. It starts with a free call.
Which of these sounds like your week?
- Meta says one number, Google says another, the CRM says a third, and the bank says something else again.
- The leads come in and most of them are rubbish.
- Traffic is fine. Not enough of them buy.
- You cannot spend more without losing margin.
- Something is wrong and you cannot say what.
All five come back to the same gap: nobody can say which job came from which dollar. We close that first, then the same senior operators run the spend against booked jobs. The free call is where we work out what your business needs first.

Run your own numbers
Six calculators and an attribution reference. Work out your break-even ROAS, your CAC payback, and whether the spend is structurally profitable, before you talk to anyone. The calculators need no signup.
01 · Free · 30 minutes
The profit audit call
A senior operator looks at your real spend, revenue and attribution gap on a call. You leave with a written fix list you keep, whether or not we ever work together. No deck, no follow-up sales sequence. We reply within one business day with three times to choose from.
02 · Optional · Two weeks
The two-week diagnostic
Read-only. We change nothing in your accounts. Every tag, event and consent rule mapped and written up: 20 to 35 pages, every issue rated P0 to P3 with an engineering-day estimate, and a 90-minute walk-through on day twelve. Yours to hand to us, your own team, or your existing agency. About a third of clients run this first, then decide.
03 · The engagement · Ongoing
The tracking set-up, then we run it
First the phones, the forms and your job software get connected to Google Ads and Meta, so every booked job traces back to the search, ad or page that produced it. From there the same senior operators run Google Ads, Meta, your Google Business Profile and SEO week to week, with budgets decided against booked jobs and the reasoning written down. The scope and timing of the set-up are in the written proposal.
What it costs
Four things set the number
- The size of your stack
- How many ad platforms are live
- The state of your CRM integration
- How many service lines and locations you run
Two things do not
- Your industry
- How much you spend on ads
Revenue only matters because a bigger business is usually a bigger scope. We do not price off a percentage of it. We charge for the work, not for what you look like you can afford.
How it is billedThe set-up is fixed scope. Ongoing management is a fixed fee for the agreed scope. Both are quoted in one written proposal after the call. No hourly billing and no percentage of ad spend.
Included at no extra costThe decision log and the tracking set-up, yours to keep whether we run the account or you take it back in-house.
What happens after you book
Three steps. No mystery.
Step 01 · Within 1 business day
30-minute audit call
A senior operator on the call. We look at your real numbers, spend, revenue, attribution gap, and tell you on the call whether the rebuild is worth doing for you and where it would start. No pitch deck.
Step 02 · Within 1 week
Written proposal
Fixed scope, fixed number, written up. The proposal names deliverables, timeline, the people involved, and the price. No hourly billing, no retainer drift.
Step 03 · Within 2 weeks
Engagement starts
Senior operators from day one. The measurement rebuild starts, we take over day-to-day buying on the channels we can measure, and the first working session lands. Inside two weeks of the call.
Next step
Ready before the rain, not scrambling after it.
If storm weeks swamp you and dry months go quiet, a free 30-minute profit audit is the first step. Bring a year of booked jobs by month if you have it, your ad spend over the same months, and the job type you want more of. We will lay out in writing how we would set budgets around the weather and your crews.
